The Center for Nonprofit Advancement served as the fiscal agent to Love More Movement (Love More) for the Home Visitation & Parent Education & Support Programs. Love More Movement was a community-rooted, strength-based organization dedicated to healing trauma and promoting mental wellness. Love More provided trauma-informed services and culturally competent, alternative healing options for survivors, with a mission to create Brave Spaces—Brave, Affirming, Secure Environments (BASEs)—where individuals and families could heal, grow, and thrive.

The grant focused on fostering intergenerational healing and reducing neighborhood conflicts in underserved communities within Wards 6, 7, and 8 of Washington, DC, including King Greenleaf, James Creek, Historic Anacostia, and Stoddert Terrace.

Through a hybrid home visitation and community engagement model, Love More’s team of trained staff provided long-term, weekly support to families, using both the evidence-based Creating Change framework and their own community-based programming. This initiative aimed to prevent child abuse and neglect, promote child well-being, and divert families from entering the child welfare system. The Center was honored to support Love More’s holistic and transformative approach to family and community wellness.
