The Center for Nonprofit Advancement promotes professional development for all staff, board members and volunteers at nonprofit organizations. We offer over 100 training opportunities each year, including education classes for a broad range of skill sets, Board Basics A to Z and the Executive Preparation Institute.

All classes are led by expert faculty members with experience working in the nonprofit sector. We offer classes at several locations throughout the region and are always looking to expand accessibility. Current locations include:

Board Basics A to Z

For nonprofit organizations, two of the hardest tasks are to recruit individuals to serve on the Board of Directors and to educate directors about the duties and responsibilities of board service. The Center’s Board Basics A to Z is a one-day seminar for new (and current) board members that provides a complete overview of a board member’s role.
