In 2022, the Center forged a partnership with EZ Street, Founder of Creative Solutions 4 Youth (CS4Y), to station staff members at strategic locations along school zones in L’Enfant Plaza & Waterfront Areas. Their primary goal is to ensure the safety of students and families as they commute to and from school.

As of 2023, we have expanded our offerings to include conflict mediation programs for students at three schools, namely Eastern High School, Jefferson Middle School and Washington Global PCS. These programs are delivered in collaboration with the Alliance of Concerned Men. Our services now extend beyond students to include wrap-around support for the entire family. These support services include restorative justice meetings, financial literacy, job readiness and entrepreneurship.

We also participate in monthly and weekly meetings where we liaise with schools and agencies such as MDP on safety. The Safe Passage Safe Blocks Program is funded by the Office of Out of School Time.
