WEBINAR: Developing and Using Your Organization’s Theory of Change

April 23 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Faculty: Paul Collier, Director, Co-presenter Jane Klinger, CORONA INSIGHTS

Is your organization grappling with evaluations and indicators that don’t adequately tell your organization’s impact story? If so, a theory of change can help. A theory of change is a mental model of how your organization’s activities lead to long-term outcomes for the people you serve. A theory of change is not only an evaluation tool, but it can also serve as a framework for strategic communications and help team members align around common goals. In this interactive workshop, we will explore the key components of a theory of change, various approaches to illustrating your mental model (e.g., logic models, results chains, outcome maps), and outline ways to engage your community in creating your organization’s theory of change.
Learning Objectives: Participants will leave this workshop with…
  1. A thorough understanding of what a theory of change is and what makes one strong
  2. Examples of strong theories of change that they can draw inspiration from
  3. A sample theory of change design process (with example agendas and templates) that they can use with their organization and community
