Every organization will face a crisis.
Whether it’s a natural disaster, leadership transition, cyberattack, community tragedy, reputational challenge, or rapidly evolving news event, the question is no longer if your organization will be tested, but when.
The organizations that navigate crises most effectively aren’t necessarily the ones with the largest communications teams. They’re the ones that have built the leadership alignment, decision-making processes, and communications discipline needed to respond with speed, clarity, and confidence.
During this interactive one-hour session, you’ll learn a practical, experience-tested framework developed through more than three decades of real-world crisis leadership, including Hurricane Katrina at BellSouth, Ebola at Emory/CDC, and COVID-19 at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta.
Together, we’ll explore how organizations can move beyond simply reacting to crisis and instead build the organizational muscle that enables leaders to communicate effectively when every minute matters.
During this session, we’ll explore:
- Why crisis communications has become an essential leadership competency—not simply a communications function.
- The Crisis Communications Matrix: a practical framework that aligns executives, clarifies decision-making, and accelerates response when normal priorities suddenly change.
- A real-world case study from the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta illustrating how preparation and leadership alignment shaped successful crisis response.
- Practical strategies you can use immediately to strengthen your organization’s readiness before the next crisis arrives.
