Three fantastic leaders have been added to the Center’s Board of directors.
Alexis L. Squire
Alexis L. Squire is a tri-sector executive with more than 15 years of experience in government, philanthropy, health care and nonprofits. She specializes in strategic planning, grantmaking and cross-sector partnerships. She currently serves as chief strategy and impact officer and deputy chief of staff for DC Fire and EMS, overseeing a $370 million agency with 2,300 employees. Alexis holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Maryland and completed executive programs at Georgetown and Columbia universities.
Daryl D. Savage
Daryl is a seasoned legal and business advisor with more than 40 years of experience advising Fortune 500 firms and startups on technology contracts, cloud services, mergers and acquisitions. He was among the first to negotiate a commercial, enterprise-wide cloud services agreement for Computer Sciences Corporation using Microsoft Azure. He also handled multibillion-dollar systems outsourcing and corporate restructuring deals. Daryl holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Denver and a law degree from Rutgers (Camden) University.
Shayla Nimmons
Shayla is a Principal at Brown & Brown, where she advises middle- and large-market employers on employee benefits strategies. With more than 25 years of experience in health care, underwriting and benefits consulting, she helps organizations with plan strategy, financing, vendor management and market negotiations. Previously, she spent 16 years at Aon, most recently as an Account Executive and Capital Market Client Delivery Leader. Shayla holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in public relations. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and serves as financial secretary for the Prince George’s County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
