Tyieshia James, Senior Director of Special Programs

Tyieshia James serves as Senior Director of Special Programs at the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, where she leads the design, implementation, and oversight of high impact initiatives that strengthen nonprofit leaders and organizations across the region. Since joining the Center in February 2022, she has played a central role in advancing strategic programs, managing complex grant funded portfolios, and supporting organizational growth and sustainability.

In her role, Tyieshia oversees flagship leadership and capacity building initiatives, including executive development, fiscal partnership programs, and cross sector collaborations. She works closely with the Center’s executive leadership team, funders, and community partners to ensure programs are responsive, results driven, and aligned with the Center’s mission to strengthen, promote, and represent nonprofit organizations.

Tyieshia brings over a decade of professional experience spanning nonprofit management, human resources, program development, and C suite level operations in both the public and private sectors. She is known for her ability to translate strategy into execution, manage multi million dollar initiatives, and support leaders navigating organizational growth and change.

A graduate of Hampton University, Tyieshia holds a Bachelor of Science degree and began her career in 2012. In 2019, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she also founded a consulting firm providing administrative and operational support to small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Her work is grounded in operational excellence, relationship building, and a deep commitment to strengthening mission driven organizations.
