Description of Member Discount: Prior to starting Freedman Advisory Services, LLC, Michael provided financial services to many nonprofit organizations both locally and abroad. Previous clients have ranged from those with revenues of less that $500,000 to others with revenue in the 100’s of millions. Our goal is to provide needed services at a fee that recognizes the organization’s size, budget, and available resources.
Services:
We will provide a targeted set of services which are typically foundational for financial health and growth of the nonprofit sector. These include developing and implement best financial practices, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), assessing and advising on board governance, designing internal control evaluations, assessing and advising on compliance with donor rules and regulations, and budgeting, and internal auditing.
For short term needs, we can also function on a limited basis as an Interim CFO. Additionally, we are also experienced in coaching CFOs which is often needed in dynamic and maturing organizations Because of our extensive contacts within the DC community, we will assist clients identify and select other specialized consultants as may be needed for financial services or for mission capability
