Leaders Convene for 11th Annual Conference

More than 350 nonprofit leaders and staff from across Greater Washington came together on August 25 for the 11th Annual Public Private Partnership Conference. The Center was proud to host this comprehensive day of learning and networking with the District Office of Partnerships and Grant Services, Hands On Greater DC Cares and the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington.

KeynoteThe day kicked off with a keynote address by District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray who shared opportunities for continued government and nonprofit partnership.

Our luncheon keynote speaker D. Paul Monteiro, associate director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, shared opportunities for Washington area nonprofit leaders to connect to the White House and share the impact of their work.

In addition to a luncheon panel on collaboration, 14 break out sessions shared tangible tips and strategies in five issue areas, building in complexity from theory to practice as the day progressed.

sessionParticipants shared their experience and joined in conversations online via Twitter using hashtag #PPP11 taking the sessions beyond the walls of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

"Had a great time at the [Public Private Partnership Conference] - met new nonprofit friends and figured out volunteer management, systems management, and more. Can't wait for next year," said one participant.
