Wednesday, December 10, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement was honored by the Age-Friendly DC Initiative, Mayor Vincent Gray and the Washington, DC Economic Partnership as being an "age-friendly business" in DC. The ceremony took place during the rollout of the Age-Friendly DC Strategic Plan.

At the Center's 35th Annual Celebtbration, the organization was awarded with hour proclamations naming November 18 Nonprofit Advancement Day. Each of the four jurisdictions the Center services, including Washington, D.C., Fairfax, Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, delivered proclamations in honor of the Center’s 35 years of serving the community.

Arts Education Organization Recognized for Board Engagement and Risk Management Practices

Washington, D.C. – February 27, 2014 – In response to a notice of proposed rulemaking by the IRS, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, with the pro-bono legal assistance of Winston & Strawn LLP, has submitted comments opposing the new regulations and has requested that a public hearing be held to further discuss the issue. After hearing from concerned nonprofits, the Center took action on behalf of its members, who are 501(c)(3) organizations.
