The Center for Nonprofit Advancement today announces Greenbrier Learning Center and N Street Village as winners of the 2011 Board Leadership Award. In its inaugural year, this competitive award, in partnership with Reznick Group and BoardSource, recognizes the role that boards play in building and sustaining successful organizations by executing their fiduciary and leadership responsibilities—assuring that they are well led, well supported and responsive to the people and communities they serve.

2011 Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award

The Center for Nonprofit Advancement honored an outstanding group of public servants for their dedication to the region's nonprofit community at the 2011 Annual Celebration on October 18.

Elected officials from the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland were recognized with the 2011 Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award. Honorees included:

The EnVest Foundation has named Center for Nonprofit Advancement CEO Glen O’Gilvie among its 2011 “40under40” honorees.

2011 Award winners will be recognized on October 18 during an event at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, DC.

The EnVest Foundation recognizes members of a generation under the age of 40 who have chosen to make philanthropy a lifestyle. In its fifth year, the foundation’s “40under40” recognition award honors 40 individuals under the age of 40 who are doing just that.

At the 2011 Annual Celebration on October 18, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement will honor four local officials for their service to the Greater Washington region’s nonprofit organizations. The Center will present the 2011 Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award to:

More than 350 nonprofit leaders and staff from across Greater Washington came together on August 25 for the 11th Annual Public Private Partnership Conference. Social Service Organization Recognized for Innovative Strategic Planning, Superior Volunteer Management

WASHINGTON- May 25, 2011- The Washington Post and the Center for Nonprofit Advancement today announce Horton’s Kids is the 2011 recipient of The Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management. In its 17th year of competition, The Post Award recognizes outstanding achievement in nonprofit management for a Washington-area nonprofit organization.
