She provides both domestic and international consulting services around program planning and development, asset building, organizational development, resource generation (through the use of all types of fundraising campaigns) and media,messaging and communication strategies. For Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) she conducts website strategy interventions (with a "donor's lens on" to boost fundraising) & enterprise development tactics by isolating new streams of funding.

Other specific areas of expertise for Mary Alex include working with women of "new wealth" around the formation of high-touch donor circles, launching and reigniting capital campaigns, boosting major gifts programs and strategic Board development.
