The Center for Nonprofit Advancement’s Leadership Exchange gives leaders a rare opportunity to turn their focus inward. The series provides a safe space for our most accomplished leaders to share experiences that spark continued growth and help to address every day challenges. In addition to core content delivered by leadership expert Michela Perrone, participants will exchange uncensored insights from their personal evolution and strategies for success with boards, staff and funders.

This special, four-part series focuses on a shared network of like-minded executives and engages participants with past winners of the Center’s Excellence in Chief Executive Leadership (EXCEL) Award to share secrets to success. It also uses tools and strategies uncovered through the Center's programs to recognize and spotlight outstanding management practices including The Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management and Board Leadership Award.
 

Leadership Exchange is an evolution of the Center’s CEO Leadership series established in 2004 and motivated by our EXCEL Award competition, now in its eighth year.

Michela Perrone is the president of MMP Associates, a consulting firm supporting the successful development of nonprofit organizations, their boards and chief executives. Dr. Perrone is a faculty member of Georgetown University's Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership, a senior associate of BoardSource, a consultant and trainer for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement and for the Maryland Association of Nonprofits. MMP Associates was established in 1993. Dr. Perrone has trained hundreds of professionals in the USA and abroad in management skills and in the education of people with disabilities. She has held positions of leadership for six educational and human service organizations in the United States and Europe and consulted with hundreds of organizations in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
